Received an email from an old friend. Our paths separated after school. He matured much quicker than I and our peers. This, at the time, earned him the title of 'Old Man'. His failure later on to attend our numerous and repetitive rebellious drinking and mischief sessions was the grounds for this childish view.
With retrospect, I see now that he was above this behaviour. Not in an aloof way, rather, an enlightened one. I speculate that he did not have the same need to 'rebel' as I and my fellows.
I spent a brilliant afternoon with him realising we now appear to walk a remarkably similar path. I obviously needed to learn important personal life lessons before our paths rejoined. I believe this explains my lack of a sense of loss regarding his absence. This is important to me when I remember how close and good a friend he was.
Our common ground and bond has, I believe, been restored through this encounter. I count him now as I did then. As a brother. A true and dear friend.
Namaste Al.

An Ultimate Curse? - Friday 24/06/11
I couldn't help but feel disappointed when I discovered the source of yesterdays mysterious deposit. Working Tax Credits. I did have to text a friend to correct my mistake and assumption, but I had been sensible enough at the time to say I was awaiting proof to support my theory. I may not have come by the money through the process I expected but I have, nevertheless, come by the amount I believed we needed.
This leaves me feeling that to continue to fight the bank is not necessary now my needs have been met. At the same time I feel I do need to fight for what I believe I am 'owed' by them. But is that the ego? Or is that feeling stemming form a need to satisfy a curiousity and prove a theory?
The other way of looking at it is I have been provided with the exact amount required to file a 'winding up' petition. £1190. Including penalties for breaches of agreement, the bank 'owes' me £21000. But the principal amount is £1000. If I am mistaken, the worst outcome is that I could be the one declared bankrupt (not really a problem). The middle mark - that I get awarded £1072.79 (including statutory penalty and statutory interest).
£1190 to be awarded £1000. That sounds like the insane behaviourof the very people and mindset to which I am opposed.
Yes, I know, I would be awarded the £1190 as costs on top of the principal, but inside, I am concious of not getting sucked into the terrible monetary-market hell.
On a real life level, today we took a bus ride to where we used to live as Fran's old school was having their annual sports day. A very strange feeling of having come full circle. This time last year we did the same thing. But this time it was for Fran to relive fond memories that she has been recalling for a year.
I believe that when we departed last year, she thought she'd find the same school but in Wales. I imagine the truth and the pain she might have felt from that, would have been quite heart wrenching.
Looking around, I saw the older looking faces of the other parents. The same beings that I had stood beside at 'home time' day after day in my previous life. And still, here they were. Probably believing no other alternative exists. One woman told me this was the tenth year she had been here watching her children. I was shocked.
I often thought that tributes and testiments to the power of human endurance and of the human spirit were only to be found in the harshest and most terrible of places. Wars, torture, survival stories in nature.
But no. It can be found in the churches, the offices, the factories, the homes and the school playgrounds.
Sheeple.
Emma relayed a recent story gleened through women's gossip about a local couple who had been having financial difficulties. They had bickered and argued for a couple of weeks until she came home five minutes before the children to discover her partner dead, hanging from the beams over the stairs. I was not shocked. I'd visited that dark place of the mind often myself.
My sadness is that, in my opinion, he had never really lived.
My realisation after, was, as tragic as that story is, far worse is being inflicted by our Government and Society on far more.
The sooner I leave this dark, mad world that people term as 'civilised' the better. When in human history, has civilisation ever been less than an ultimate curse?

The Lion Sleeps No More - Friday 20/05/11
The experience that is 'I' has chosen to take the red pill and see how deep this rabbit hole goes. I had the fortune of watching a movie/documentary called ZEITGEIST: MOVING FORWARD.
It very succinctly explained this world (both the physical and the social) to me. Combine this with reading Human Race Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More
by David Icke and you have a most intriguing lecture.
The monetary-market system has shaped society and the globe. Not in a good way.
Nothing is as it once appeared. As I was told it was. The funny thing is, part of me always knew this.
The materials I am reading challenge the common understanding and some of it could be seen as hard to believe by many. What I am witnessing is "Truth is that which resonates with the inner being" - Eckhart Tolle. I may not fully understand what I am being taught, but I am following up that which I perceive as truth and am finding that what was once unclear/hard to believe is revealed later with time and learning.
Falsehoods do not sit well with us and thus they are forgotten and dismissed. The time when this doesn't happen, when outright nonsense is taken as reality, only can occur after long conditioning and repetition. Brainwashing. There are so many stories of those who felt a lot of what is taught in our schools to be meaningless rubbish. It is. The times I learnt the most during my school years were not teacher led. I sought the truth, it excited me and I hungered for more. Children are not as stupid as the education system believe. Is it any wonder why these disillusioned beings come from the sausage factory and feel they wasted a good portion of their life 'learning' useless crap? They did. Conversely, look at the amount of exceptionally intelligent individuals who dropped out of school, learned useful things and were better for it. Who identified the system was a lie, intent on conditioning the next batch of consumers and National Insurance numbers.
The pieces are falling into place.
The Human Race is stirring.

But Mummy, I Don't Want To Go To School - Tuesday 28/09/10
Simon D had asked me on Sunday whether i was up for some work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Persuaded Emma to join me. Bit of a mistake. Ended up stripping logs instead of plastering boards with lime - oops. Don't think she'll risk tomorrow.
Had an emotional outburst from Fran last night regarding school. Turns out she's now feeling excluded by the language barrier and being physically and verbally bullied. Ideally she wants to go back to her previous school. Ironically just that morning we'd informed her old school of her new one. Had we not, it would have probably been easy to get her back in, as she was still on the books.
With that in mind, i think it is quite likely we will return at least to England. If only to minimise the impact of this new life on Frans schooling.

Was pleased and eager to be outside today. So much so, i was out past 20:00. Worked until I could barely see and a wood chip jumped up and smacked me square in the eyeball. Called it quits after that.
11 hours take the time spent on the school run and taking the children to the language centre.
Parents are invited to learn Welsh too to aid their child's learning. I completely agree, however couldn't thinking "Yeah, but we won't be here that long..." So either we be here that long and commit to all the various initiatives, or we decide on what the hell we're doing with regards to the next place we're going. If its in England, then perhaps its not productive use of our time. Although I'm all for not only us, but Frances learning Welsh, we have so many options and therein lies the problem.
Here are the options as i see them;
1)Leave in October for a place like Tinkers Bubble, where we can settle, or at least stay for the foreseeable future.
2) Stay at Lammas for as long as we're able, risking outstaying our welcome.
3) Buying land locally with the help of parents and replicating what Lammas have done. Either on our own or preferably with a group of others,
4) Buying land in England most likely a derelict farmstead and blazing a trail, again like Lammas. This would require substantial fund raising, but anything is possible.
5) Go WWOOFING
There are of course other factors to consider. Option 3 would be good if done close to Frans existing school which she very much enjoys.
There are 14 acres for sale for around £65000 with woodland, however thats alot to manage on your own. Plus would only support 2 other families max. A very intimate community... The reality is that it would be further away. Slightly negating that option, but leads to yet another. Am so confused am going to talk to Paul tomorrow in the hope he can impart some wisdom from experience to aid my decision.
I guess this has all come about predominantly through an attack of conscience .
Our daughter has no control and is bound to follow us, her parents. I therefore feel honour and duty bound to ensure we still provide her with the best possible life that agrees with all of us. That will take compromise. But one thing i know for sure, the only definite I have is we will NOT return to 9-5's and 'the system' or the 'Matrix' as one guy called it. Hehe.

Going On Instinct - Thursday 02/09/10
Dropped Fran off at her new school for her first day. Am happy and excited for her but hate the commitment to a routine albeit a 9-3. Just brings about memories of all we've left behind. After dropping her off and having had a tour of the school, it has left me questioning our aims and plan.
Its been quite apparent, in fact, from the outset, that these guys at Lammas are conventional folk like most others trying to reclaim the independence and freedom of our ancestors but without the sacred knowledge they held. As a result, they're going on instinct.
Whilst my intention of touring and learning this knowledge, i'm reminded by nearly all the residents here that i have an enviable advantage over them. My youth. But i'm concious this gift is gradually being revoked everyday. So i feel the need to find a way to buy land now and get cracking...
